Thompson & Richardson (T&R) is a long established and respected IFA based in Lincoln. As part of its continued expansion they are looking to recruit an experienced Administrator to join its Advisory Support team.

The individual should be looking to progress their career in Financial Services administration and keen to develop their skills, knowledge and experience as well as studying for relevant professional qualifications.

The Administrator will be responsible for providing administrative support to team members, Financial Consultants and clients.

The responsibilities of the Administrator are as follows:
• Provide a comprehensive and efficient administrative service to the sales team
• Preparation of client reports for pre and post client meetings
• Liaise with Life offices and investment houses to provide client valuations and action client requests
• Liaise with and provide clients with a professional support service
• Process, track and fulfilment of all new business applications
• Ensuring all company processes and procedures are complied with to meet relevant FSA regulations
• Data Management - create and maintain accurate records in our back office system and ensure all supporting documentation is scanned; diary maintenance.
• Liaison with the Accounts Department for commission and invoice monitoring
• Compliance with our Treating Customers Fairly requirements

The successful candidate will have:
• At least 2 years experience in a similar role preferably with an IFA
• Good level of technical knowledge of pensions, protection and investments
• Good understanding and experience of FSA regulatory requirements
• The ability to plan, organise and manage themselves effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent computer literacy skills
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and at Financial Services back office systems

Ideally we are looking for someone with a minimum of part or full Certificate in Financial Administration or equivalent for example FPC, CFP or CeFA. Knowledge of the JCS back office system and Watermark document imaging systems would be extremely advantageous.
